The idea

The idea for OrthoCompass was born out of a shared experience. Brendan had a patient with a complex elbow fracture, but couldn't connect them with a specialist orthopedic surgeon. The patient was left with a list of local orthopedic groups, but no clear direction. Andrew and Brendan realized that this was a common problem, and that patients were often struggling to navigate the complex healthcare system.

They saw an opportunity to create a better way. With OrthoCompass, they aim to connect patients with local orthopedic surgeons who specialize in treating their specific injuries. By providing a simple and intuitive search platform, they hope to facilitate better, faster, and safer care.

Andrew and Brendan are both dedicated to their work and passionate about making a positive impact. Andrew specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery, and is a practicing upper extremity orthopedic surgeon in Edmonds, WA. Brendan specializes in primary care non-operative care, and practices sports medicine in Edmonds, WA, and emergency medicine in Seattle, WA.

Together, they're working to bring a little more compassion and kindness to the healthcare system, and to make it easier for patients to get the care they need.
